APOLD VINEYARD
SIBIU, ROMANIA

The vineyard is located in the Sebes-Apold area of vineyards, within the wine-growing center, and the DOC (Denomination of Controlled Origin) winemaking area is Sebeş-Apold.

The vineyard is situated on a slope set in terraces with a favorable south orientation at an altitude between 460 to 485 m. The climate is typically temperate continental with a vegetation period of 172 to 180 days.

The area’s specificity are the misty days at the end of the summer and nearly one-third of the autumn (September, October), which leads to a slower growing process, but keeping the flavors and acidity constantly high.

These elements lead to a high quality of the wines obtained, giving them a distinct personality, appreciated by connoisseurs, with freshness, fruity and aromas specific to the varieties of the area.
